Whitney Paprika is a Zimbabwean buyer and contract market agent dedicated to two of Africa's most rewarding crops — paprika and chilli. We work shoulder to shoulder with farmers, from the smallest plot in the rural communal lands to commercial estates, to produce a harvest that meets demanding international quality standards.
Our approach is simple: supply superior seed, share technical expertise, guarantee a market through forward off-take contracts, and pay our growers fairly and on time. Every season, we expand the network of households whose livelihoods are anchored in a well-managed paprika or chilli crop.

Paprika and chilli are unforgiving crops. Their value is locked in colour and pungency, both of which collapse the moment the plant stresses for water. A reliable irrigation system isn't a luxury — it's the single biggest predictor of whether a season ends in profit or loss.
Paprika and chilli need 25–30 mm of consistent water per week. Without irrigation, even a single 10-day dry spell during flowering can cut your harvest by 40%.
Zimbabwe's rain pattern has shifted — late starts, mid-season breaks, and heatwaves above 35°C are now normal. Counting on rain alone is no longer commercially viable.
Our irrigated growers consistently average 3–4 tonnes/ha versus under 1 t/ha for rain-fed plots. Better moisture also gives deeper colour, which means higher grade and price.
An irrigated farm is a contracted farm. Once water is secured, every other input — seed, fertiliser, agronomy — actually pays off. Without it, you're rolling dice.
Let us assess your existing setup and tell you exactly how many hectares of paprika or chilli it can support this season.
